Olympic Valley
The land itself becomes the first act of the design story, a quiet cul-de-sac cradled at the edge of open meadowland where the valley floor stretches toward the granite shoulders of the Sierra Nevada. The site holds a duality: grounded in stillness yet constantly animated by shifting light, drifting snow, and the sweep of seasonal color. It is a threshold between intimacy and vastness, a natural pause before the terrain ascends into pine forests and ridgelines. This convergence of serenity and drama establishes not just a backdrop, but a living canvas that invites architecture to respond with equal measures of restraint and boldness.
In Design
The kitchen unfolds as a sculpted interplay of weight and warmth, Dark cabinetry and textured stone converging beneath a soaring timber vault. Each surface is intentional: the matte grain of reclaimed wood, the cool solidity of the monolithic island, the quiet shimmer of suspended light above. Together, they create a space that feels both grounded and elevated
The bedroom carries the same restrained richness as the rest of the home—where texture and light replace ornament. Vertical planes of warm wood wrap the space, meeting expanses of glass that open to the soft glow of the surrounding meadow. Minimal yet tactile, the room balances precision with comfort: a composition of clean lines, quiet materials, and the golden rhythm of sunlight filtering through the trees.
Warmth and restraint converge in a study of tone and texture. Layers of stone, glass, and deep tile create a hushed rhythm of reflection, where light traces the surfaces with quiet precision. The space feels timeless, anchored in material honesty yet softened by a sense of nostalgia.
